Monitoring & Evaluation Lead

We are looking for a thoughtful and experienced Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) Lead to assess the impact of a unique arts-based learning programme being implemented in rural libraries. This role requires someone who values numbers and narratives 𑁋 who can measure change and also offer recommendations for future scale. What will you do?

  1. Design and implement an M&E plan, along with frameworks, tailored to a rural library arts education programme.
  2. Develop tools and indicators to assess progress, learning outcomes, and community impact.
  3. Lead baseline and end-line assessments, and oversee field-based monitoring activities.
  4. Train and guide data collection teams across different sites, ensuring quality and consistency.
  5. Conduct analysis of both qualitative and quantitative data.
  6. Create reports, visual summaries, and insights that inform programme improvement and scale.
  7. Ensure ethical practices, privacy, and consent protocols in all data collection and reporting.

What do you need?

  1. 3-5 years of experience in M&E in the arts sector, preferably in the education, social impact or community development areas.
  2. Strong grounding in both qualitative and quantitative evaluation methods.
  3. Experience designing tools and indicators (surveys, interview outlines, checklists, etc.)
  4. Ability to independently manage reporting and insight generation.
  5. Proficient in digital tools for surveys and analyses.
  6. Ability to work across teams, and travel to field locations in Karnataka.
  7. Fluency in spoken and written Kannada and English.
