Project Lead - Audience Research & Strategy

We are seeking an experienced professional to lead a structured audience and market insight exercise for a cultural initiative in Bengaluru. The role will involve designing and executing a qualitative research programme to understand behaviours, motivations, barriers, and expectations across multiple audience groups within a defined geography. This role requires someone who can independently lead a complex insight project from design through synthesis, and translate field intelligence into clear strategic direction.

What you will do

  1. Lead the design and execution of an audience insight exercise within a defined geography.
  2. Develop the overall research framework and guide the execution of the audience and ecosystem insight exercise.
  3. Develop a structured understanding of the broader cultural, leisure and lifestyle landscape relevant to the initiative.
  4. Oversee participant recruitment to ensure strong representation and diversity within the sample.
  5. Engage a range of stakeholders and community groups to gather perspectives and behavioural insight.
  6. Conduct field based inquiry to understand how people currently engage with cultural and public life in the area.
  7. Identify patterns in motivations, expectations, and barriers to participation.
  8. Build a practical audience segmentation framework.
  9. Translate findings into strategic recommendations and produce a clear and structured report with actionable insights.

What you need

  1. Around 8 - 12 years of relevant professional experience in audience research, market insights, strategy, branding, consulting  or related fields.
  2. Demonstrated ability to lead qualitative research including interviews, group discussions and field observation, alongside ecosystem mapping, insight synthesis, and the production of clear decision grade reports.
  3. Strong moderation skills and comfort engaging diverse participant groups.
  4. Ability to analyse and synthesise qualitative data into clear frameworks and strategic recommendations.
  5. Ability to independently lead a project with minimal supervision.
  6. Familiarity with the social, cultural and lifestyle landscape of Bengaluru.
  7. Familiarity with the arts and culture in India. 
  8. Proficiency in English language with excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Remuneration

  1. ₹2.50 – ₹3.50 Lakhs for the project duration (10% TDS applicable)
